wednesday may 23.

i got up at 5am today to get ready to go to the richmond international airport. i had to be there around 6am. i was able to get REALLY cheap tickets through this new airline called skybus. the catch is there is only one flight a day and it only goes to columbus, ohio. luckily blake new of this really cheap bus from columbus to chicago. all in all i'm saving a couple of hundred bucks by going this crazy route. anyway i got to the airport and there were reporters interviewing people about the new airline and the $10 tickets (yep...it cost me $10 + tax to fly to columbus, it was a little more expensive for the flight back). this lady asked me if she could interview me and i said yes. i ended up being on the news later that night (i didn't see it but erin did). so i started this tour off with some FAME!

got on the plane and my nose started to bleed immediately. i used to get nose bleeds almost daily but those had stopped a month or two ago.

i land in columbus an hour or so later and have to take a city bus to another city bus to the megabus. i get there and there is only one other kid waiting for the bus. we were the only ones on the 5-6 hour bus ride! (well ok we picked up 4 more people about an hour outside of chicago..big deal).

got to chicago and took a train to blake's crib. then we walked like 5 miles around chicago and had mexican food for dinner with blake's better half, lori. she's a black belt and makes rad knitted things.

blake and i are going to have a tour-long rummy game. we'll be playing yahtzee at taco bell. blake is going to not say "AIDS" or "GAY" for a full day at some point during the tour and i'm going to get someone to buy me a beer at applebees.
